Biography
Patricia Healy BBS (Hons), FCA, AITI, FCIS, MA (T&L) is an adjunct Lecturer in Cork University Business School. She lectures in Tax, Auditing and Governance as well as Financial and Management Accounting.
She recently completed her Master’s in Education, where she received a First Class Honours award. Prior to joining UCC, she lectured in Griffith College. Patricia is a graduate in Accounting and Finance from the University of Limerick and has extensive experience in Tax, Auditing and Accounting roles at senior levels in PwC, KPMG, GSK, VMWare and Gas Networks Ireland.
She is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and of the Chartered Governance Institute and is also a Chartered Tax Consultant with the Irish Taxation Institute. Her specialities include International Corporate Tax, Financial Auditing, Management and Financial Accounting and Governance, where she holds her professional qualifications.
She has extensive teaching and examining experience with the Griffith College Cork, Chartered Governance Institute and the Tax Institute of Ireland.
Her dissertation, which formed an integral part of the Masters, focused on ‘Educational Supports for Students with Dyslexia’ and examined the effectiveness of supports and accommodations, Irish colleges offer students. She also holds a Digital Badge and a Facilitator Badge in Universal Design for Teaching & Learning, awarded by UCD’s Access and Lifelong Learning department.
